The Larmer Tree is situated on the Rushmore Estate on the Dorset/Wiltshire border. Home to free roaming peacocks it really is a magic setting for your wedding day. I photographed a wedding there back in 2012 and felt it was time to return! It is still as beautiful and I wanted to share it with you in todays blog post.
The Larmer Tree boasts several unique buildings, 5 of which are licensed for civil ceremony spanning over 11 acres. The Roman Temple pictured below is my favourite spot for an outdoor ceremony.
The extensive gardens have so many secluded areas. A Quintessentially English country wedding venue. Providing the most unique setting for a relaxed and informal day and a photographers dream!
The Singing Theatre, an open-air stage has a stunning backdrop painted on it. The soft blue deckchairs propped up against the front make a fun addition.
Needless to say, the surrounding views on the approach are just breathtaking!
The Larmer Tree wedding
Going back to 2012 I want to share with you the magazine spreads from Jemma & Ollie’s wedding at The Larmer Tree! I’m sure you’ll agree it’s a timeless venue. On their wedding day it rained so much! Using the various buildings to not only provide great backdrops but shelter!
